Description ENG
In July 2019, the London Borough of Hounslow secured funding to review the Final Draft Local Plan for the Great West Corridor (GWC), West of Borough (WoB), and Site Allocations. To engage residents in shaping Hounslow’s future, the council, supported by a team of experts, organised a series of consultation events.
The short research by the team of AR Urbanism presents findings from community engagement activities in July and September 2019, with a focus on the needs and aspirations of local residents, particularly young people.
At Bedfont Lakes Country Park Open Day, a gazebo hosted creative activities and discussions with approximately 130 participants. Children shared their visions for the area through drawings, text, and models. Interactive tools included Community Tags, Complete the Vision and Play-Doh Hounslow.
Moreover, two public meetings were held, allowing local authorities and community groups to contribute.
